Can I recover the final DJI clip after power loss?
Short answer
Often in part: after a depleted battery or a crash, most of the video data may be on the card while the MP4 or MOV lacks its final metadata. Recover the original extent to another drive first, analyze the container, then repair only a copy, ideally using a complete clip from the same drone as reference.
The situation
The last flight's video is missing or unplayable after battery depletion or a crash.
Video is written to the card continuously, but the index that makes it playable is written at the end. When a battery dies or the aircraft comes down mid-recording, the picture data is largely there while the closing structure of the MP4 or MOV never arrived.

Work out what actually disappeared
The recording stopped without the camera closing the file. In an MP4 or MOV the moov section describes every frame's position and length, and without it a player has nothing to work from, even though the media payload occupies real clusters on the card. The clip therefore shows as zero bytes, fails to open, or does not appear in the folder at all.
The MP4 or MOV may lack final metadata even when most media data reached the card.
Check the last known path, trash and backups without writing to the original device.

Preserve the best recovery chance

Do not power the drone back on with this card inside; remove it first, because a restart can write logs and a new folder to the card.

Record the flight time and the clip number that should follow the last good file, so the right extent can be identified on the card.

Scan the card read-only and export the raw extent of the interrupted recording to another drive, even if it will not play yet.

Keep that export untouched as a master and attempt repair only on a duplicate, using an intact clip from the same drone and settings as reference.
Do not run a repair tool against the file while it is still on the card, and do not fly again before the extent is secured. Overwriting the master export with a repair attempt is the other common mistake; always work on a copy.
